Thanks! Is the problem that the Xmas lights are non polarized because it's cheaper than polarized?

I use a pair of yellow straight sheet metal sheers to cut the metal. Works perfect every time

Thanks Man! this was great! I was putting together some long runs yesterday. I purchased the vampire plugs last week thinking I got this licked. I put the first one together yesterday but couldn't plug the damn thing in. I have gone to the box stores in the past thinking surely they have xmas light extensions...NOT! I then got smart and logged in to your videos. You the man! my son who loves christmas lights to the extreme will be happy!

Use a hand file if you have one. It took me about 5min to reduce both sides of the big prong. Be careful while on it, doesn't require too much effort.

Someone need to invent and sell this specifically for Christmas lights. I do not want to have to rearrange my Christmas lights. What kind of clipper is best to use?

i'VE GOT THAT PROBLEM. MY ENDS OF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS HAVE THE SMALL OPENINGS AND THE EXTENSION CORD HAS A SMALL AND LARGE PRONG ON IT SO THEY DON'T FIT.

Do you ever wrap the ends of female plugs with electrical tape or do some other methods of water proofing so that it's not exposed to rain? I there a fire risk if rain gets into the exposed female plugs of string lights?
