Good explanation, but would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison. Also, "a bit more expensive" is "a bit" misleading. A single pro-grade tube costs more than a pre-molded set of 8-10 tubes off Amazon! At that price premium, you could install 4 times as many retail tubes at half the cost! So while I've decked the rest of the house with pro-grade C9 LEDs (at about 3x the cost of retail) and I have no doubt the pro-grade snowfalls are higher quality, at this price premium I'm giving the Amazon (Alibaba) products a shot. As this review points out, the transformers for most of these retail products aren't waterproof, but that's not too hard to fix.

At $15 each tube for just the 12" ones, I could never afford to do my house in these. Beautiful as they are, still a bit too pricey for us common folk :)

Good explanation. Still fairly expensive.
1 bulb exceeds the price of an entire strand of cheap ones.

I would prefer these of course, but in order to get the effect I would like, I would likely spend almost a $2,000 bucks. With the cheap ones I would spend 8 times less. They wouldn't hold up over the long haul, but they would also be inexpensive to replace as strands died out.

I just wish I could afford these. They look to be far better.
Thanks for offering a top quality product all the same.
