I stumbled across the Stampworld site and catalogue a few years ago and can highly recommend it. It doesn't provide much on variations, but it is nonetheless quite comprehensive and easy to use. It is also regularly updated, which I can't say about my hard copy catalogues unless I pay for it. It also provides information on the likes of revenue, postage due and official stamps. I wish they also listed specimen stamps, but you can't expect everything for nothing. Booklets are also missing. My Stanley Gibbons for British stamps and Scott catalogues also don't provide me with specimen stamp valuations and I had to pay for those.

I use this by far the best site, revenue stamps however no information. But still deserves a 5 star. In truth I'm not paying shit it's free.

Thanks! The forgeries tab is interesting, it would really help to identify forgeries. On that topic, the APS has a 'forged or genuine' quiz with images of forgeries for a select number of stamps worldwide: stamps.org/learn/forged-or-genuine

The great thing about Stampworld.com is the search function. Here you can search for the nominal, a year, or thematically, for example. It's also great that you can create your own lists and manage your collection that way. For pricing, I also like to look at ebay under the tab 'Auctions sold' (or something like that). You get a realistic impression of what is happening on the market.
