That was so great! I love the round placemat and the way you used the Napkins to wrap the utensils for buffet style set up.

I agree with other comments and wish you followed the project to the end. New to sewing and I watched this to learn but feel the corner technique would have been very beneficial.

After sewing the edges of the napkins, the video went directly to to the placemats and napkins. I didn't see how the napkins were finished.

Cheryl I didn't get to see how you did the final step to make these napkins. A commercial came out. When your video came back on you were showing the napkin on pocket of placemat. Can you show me the complete steps? Thank you.

Good Morning Shirley! What great ideas you always have, just donโ€™t have enough time in the day to do them all. But maybe eventually I will get to it. Keep up the awesome videos really loving them. Love seeing your whole family too thereโ€™s nothing like spending time with your family itโ€™s the best of all!

This is a good way to use up leftover fabric. You could make fabric ties for the flatware bundles from the strip that was cut from the napkin fabric.

Thanks Sherrill for another great idea. For the people in your life who have everything, napkins and pillowcases. Although I do prefer the mitered corner for my napkin.

Sherrill, I was confused! Do you use two pieces of fabric! Was confused when you turned the edges up and it was
still the 'right' side of the fabric.. T/U

I just finished making about 50 cocktail napkins in a variety of bright tropical prints. They came out beautiful. I cut them about 11"x11" and finished size was about 10.25" square. The client asked that I trim corners prior to hemming raw edges to reduce bulk and she wanted a very narrow hem of about 5mm. Pressing is everything when making these. I recommend protecting your fingertips somehow to avoid burns. On my machine, the top thread stitching is nicer than the bobbin side so I stitch from the right side of the fabric which makes getting that straight edge stitch even harder. Thanks for your take on making napkins. A local fabric shop near me also has a helpful tutorial on their website. www.pickingdaisiesinslo.com

I have been following your channel for a while now and I have definitely seen an evolution in your video style which I absolutely love! Your channel is both informative and entertaining. Thanks so much. As a relatively new quilter, your videos have helped me a great deal. In fact I will be referencing your channel on my channel (The Idiot Quilter). Thanks for taking the time for creating great videos that are fun and educational.
